Exception upgrades for at&t mobility

July 7, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

Most people do not know what an exception upgrade is for at&t mobility. A customer can renew a contract after only completing six months of their 24 month contract and get a new cell phone at a discounted price. An exception upgrade can only be done once a year and the price of the cell phone could be $20 – $50 more than a normal upgrade depending on the cell phone of their choice.
Customers with suspends/disconnects within a 12 month period will not be deemed eligible to upgrade, regardless of their time since last upgrade/activation. Customers whose accounts have outstanding balances will also not be deemed eligible to upgrade until their accounts have been brought to current status.
An exception upgrade is supposed to be the 2 year contract price + $75. You’re eligible for that exception upgrade as soon as 6 months into your contract (only 1 exception upgrade per every 12 months though)
In my at&t store in Weston Florida we have a few cell phone models that are the same upgrade price with an exception upgrade. The Samsung 777 and the Samsung Magnet are 2 o f the models. We only charge $9.99 for the Nokia 2600 and $19.99 for the Sony Ericsson 350 with an exception upgrade. But that will change starting August first. At&t will subsidize the cell phones a lot less after August 1st 2009.
So if you are on need of an exception upgrade and can do it this month don’t hesitate to give us a call. 954-349-2001 at the at&t store in Weston Florida.

Email picture from my iPhone

June 29, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

This picture was taken on Sunday June 28 at Rooms to go in Pembroke Pines. I purchased this set and took a picture with my new iPhone 3Gs.
I did not think the picture quality is good, I expected better with the 3.2 megapixel camera.
I was not able to create an email and attach pictures after, you need to start at the picture then create an email.
I can not figure out as yet how to send more than one picture.

My iPhone 3Gs and what I think about it

June 29, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

I did an upgrade on my att line for the new 3Gs iPhone 32gb. The phone is great for the Internet and watching YouTube but as a business phone I prefer my Blackberry. The things I like about the new iPhone are the large display to watch videos, the new stereo Bluetooth capability and the application store which has over 50,000 apps.

The iPhone camera did not impress me with the quality of pictures and the video I took was posted to YouTube for you to decide.

Pros:
Thousands of applications
Cut and paste
Video editing capability
Faster processor
faster web browsing
Visual Voice-mail
Email folders access (I had access to my Yahoo email folders)

Cons:
Email set up with my websites hosted with Godaddy was not easy I needed Apple support to set up.
Battery life
Phone book has a 2000 capacity ( my Blackberry Bold had over 3000 contacts so when I transferred my contacts I lost over 1000)

These are the apps I downloaded while I had the 3Gs Apple iPhone.

I will test this phone out but I will not keep this phone, I will sell it for $600. I paid $300 with my upgrade with att and after tax I made $270 profit. My friends all did upgrades for the 32GB iPhone and sold them to me for $600 also. I was hoping to buy hundreds of iPhones like I did last year.

Familymap from at&t

June 27, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

At&t has a tracking feature for family plans. You can track the cell phones on your family plan from your cell phone or PC. You can create boundaries for your children and when they crows it you will get a text or email alert. You can set up periodic alerts so you know where your family is at all times. The cost to track 2 cell phones on your family plan is $9.99 and $14.99 to track up to 5 cell phones.

I have a link so you can watch on a demo of this new at&t service. https://familymap.wireless.att.com/finder-att-family/flashDemo.htm

Zer01 goes nationwide with unlimited voice, data service yesterday on July 1st 2009

By Mike Dano from Fierce Wireless

After a few months of delay, MVNE Zer01 Mobile announced the nationwide launch of its unlimited, prepaid, voice and data service that the company is selling to distributors. The company said its low-cost offering can support unlimited service via mobile VoIP technology running over AT&T Mobility’s network.

“Many years of research and testing have culminated in the public launch this week of the new, truly unlimited voice, data and Web mobile wireless service from Zer01 Mobile. Thanks to the ingenuity of the Zer01 Mobile engineering team, our new Veritable Mobile Convergence technology allows each smartphone user to make voice calls or transmit data through a VoIP system,” explained Ben Piilani, CEO of Zer01, in a release.

The company’s offering is not intended for end users. Instead, Zer01 is selling the service as a mobile virtual network enabler, meaning that the company developed the relationship with AT&T and will supply handsets and other services, but won’t actively sell the service to phone shoppers. That task falls to the company’s distributors, which include Buzzirk Mobile and others, according to a Zer01 spokesman. A cursory check of Buzzirk Mobile’s website indeed showed an offer for unlimited voice and data service for $79.95 per month.

A Zer01 spokesman said the company is moving forward with its plans and expects to add additional distributors in the near future. The company said its system runs on Windows Mobile phones, and it will offer devices from HTC and Pharos. He said Zer01’s service also includes low-cost international calling.

Zer01 unveiled its plans in March, and at the time said it would launch in April with a service for $69.95 per month. However, the company has since backed off offering that specific price, apparently to provide more flexible pricing options to distributors.

I got this email below on July 4th from Global Verge the company doing the MLM with Buzzirk mobile.

Hello Global Verge e-Associates!

This correspondence is to help clarify information that some of you received in an email yesterday from Universal Account Servicing (UAS):

Please take note of the following updates:

1) We are in the process of migrating our merchant processor to a new platform that better suits our tremendous growth. This platform will be supported by multiple processors, at the minimum two processors.

2) Xennsoft is in the process of installing updates to support this new platform, as a result we are pleased to announce that we will be able to offer an automated bank withdrawal option in addition to credit card processing. Therefore, the sign up page is also being modified to include this new option. Current associates will also be able to change their credit card autoship to the automated bank withdrawal option. Every associate who chooses the automated bank withdrawal option will enjoy a monthly discount on their autoship. The discount will be $5 for Basic and Pro members and $2 for Intro members. A ?secure? ACH signup page is being installed immediately to accommodate this option and encourage new and existing members to take advantage of this great monthly discount!

3) Additionally, because of the timing of our transfer to the new platform some of you will be receiving refunds to your credit cards and will have to resubmit your payment.

In the next 72 hours we will be forwarding you specific details of how to handle the refunds that UAS will be issuing to some of you.

4) We ask for your patience as the Xennsoft Team is implementing these changes now.

5) Please rest assured that none of these changes will affect the upcoming commission run or your position earned this last month for all valid accounts.

6) On the last day of June there were many people that tried to signup as a Global Verge e-Associate and some people encounters signup errors. We can assure you that if you do not have a valid login with a User ID, then your credit card was not charged.

7) Last week we announced the ability in your back office to enter multiple payment profiles and this is only part of this update that we are currently experiencing which will be one of the strongest back office platforms ever seen.

8) One of the reasons we are migrating toward this direction of ACH and adding to the functionality of these robust payment options because is in the end we would like to have a fully seamless payment in and payment out for all of our e-Associates all over the world. Each update gets us closer and closer toward this goal.

We will continue to work together with you in support of the phenomenal success that you are all enjoying,

New Blackberry for Verizon Wireless

June 16, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

Verizon wireless is getting a Bold like Blackberry. It will have a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, world capabilities and a slimmer profile. They will call the new Blackberry the Tour 9630. This will be the premier Blackberry device for Blackberry users who like full qwerty keyboards. Blackberry probably fixed the bugs they had in the Blackberry Bold like application memory shortage/ leak and not being able to set the default email for the camera. The only negative I see on the new Blackberry Tour 9630 is no WiFi built-in.

Features
*256MB bulit-in memory
*3G
*Word capabilites
*5 hrs talk time, 14 days standby time
*480×340 pixel screen
*Enhanched multimedia support

LG Xenon

June 15, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

We have had this phone on at&t for about a month now. This cell phone has a full qwerty slide out keyboard and is a touch screen. The cell phone is 3G and has a 2 megapixel camera. The LG Xenon comes in red, black or blue at this time, I have no news on any other colors. I have sold a few of these cell phones and 1 out of 5 are bad the address book has a problem where you can’t dial from it or sometimes when you update a contact it changes the phone number that you entered. I have had a few customers return also for other problems. I think this phone might get recalled.

LG Incite for at&t

June 12, 2009 by Mobilewiseguy

This cell phone in my opinion sucks. LG could of done a better job on this mobile device. They must of rushed this one to compete with the touch screen craze started by the Apple iPhone. I had a hard time navigating through the device. I don’t like touch screen phones already and the LG incite made me dislike touch screens even more. I had a hard time typing emails or text with the keyboard. This LG incite touch screen operation was unresponsive and slow. The camera is a 3 megapixel but my Blackberry Bold’s 2 megapixel camera took better quality pictures and videos.
